Sophia

I’m currently sitting at gate B50 in the Denver Airport. It’s been an interesting day... an interesting weekend…an interesting summer… so far. This weekend I was in Lake City, CO (also known as one of the most beautiful places on earth.) My friend Andrew was getting married in his home town and I flew in to shoot the wedding. Because it is so far out of the beaten path, I flew in on Wednesday along with three of the groomsmen whom I also knew from school. It was such a beautiful weekend, full of family and friends all drawn together around Andrew and Diana in the least populated county in Colorado. I wish I could have stayed longer because it was so beautiful. But here I am in the airport waiting for a flight that leaves in four hours to take me to my next stop- Wichita, Kansas.

I’ve heard that there’s not much out in Kansas except for flat land, sweltering heat and my friend Liz from school.  I’m not too psyched about the first two, but I can’t wait for Lizzie to come and get me from the airport! I haven’t seen that face for two months, which may not seem long in the grand scheme of life but it has been long enough for me.

While the food is expensive and the seats less than comfortable, there is one good thing about having to wait around for hours in an airport- I’m getting a lot of work done here on my little laptop. Below are some photographs that I took of the York family’s latest little baby, Sophia. She is now almost two weeks old and is seriously loved and doted upon by her five older siblings. Much love in this family.
